With more than 30 years of experience, Phil Giarrizzo has a background that offers a unique balance of political campaign experience, public policy work, and organizational development.

Before opening his own consulting firm, Giarrizzo worked on the staff of former California State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown’s “Office of Majority Services” as a Senior Consultant. He also served as a Chief of Staff to a Member of the State Assembly. Prior to his career in politics, Giarrizzo served as C.E.O. of a 40,000-member public-sector employee union.

Giarrizzo was named one of “Campaigns and Elections” magazine’s “Rising Stars,” and the firm has won numerous American Association of Political Consultants’ “Pollie Awards” for direct mail, radio and newspaper advertising, and issue advocacy campaigns.

During the 2004 Presidential Primary, Giarrizzo produced direct mail for Democratic Presidential candidate Wesley Clark. Later that year, he was chosen to coordinate the direct mail team for the Democratic National Committee’s November campaign for the Presidency.

In 2005, Giarrizzo directed the statewide field operation for the Alliance for a Better California’s No on Prop.’s 74 - 77 campaign. Under his direction, the Alliance conducted one of the state’s largest-ever field operations and helped produce an across-the-board sweep on Election Night.

In addition, the range of experience on staff provides a broad network of contacts, and strong relationships, with members of the Legislature, legislative staff, regulatory agencies and local governments throughout California.
